Yes. Upload your Russian video, choose English, and watch a preview of up to 20 seconds with English subtitles before you pay. You do not need to select Russian: the spoken language is detected. Upload a video in Russian (Русский), choose English, and download it with English subtitles burned in. The Russian speech is detected, so you do not select it.
What you get back
- Your video as an MP4 with English subtitles burned into the picture.
- An English SRT file for players and platforms that take subtitle files.
- An SRT of the Russian speech, so you have both sides of the translation.
- Plain TXT transcripts of both, for notes, articles, or search.

What the speech recognition has to deal with in Russian
Russian speech moves fast and changes word endings for case, gender and number, so one name can sound different in each sentence. Word order is free, and speakers stress meaning through it. The speech recognition writes Cyrillic, and the English translation is made from that transcript.
- Names change their endings with case (Иван, Ивана, Ивану). Check that each person keeps one English spelling through the file.
- Patronymics (Ivanovich, Petrovna) are a normal way to address someone in Russian but sound very formal in English. Check that the English address fits the scene.
- Russian names reach English in more than one transliteration (Yuri, Yury, Iurii). Use the spelling the person uses.
- Numbers decline too, so long numbers in fast speech are easy to mishear. Check every amount and date.
What to check in the English result
Check names and how people address each other, then check numbers.
