Korean subtitles
Translate video to Korean with the subtitles built in
Upload a video in any language, pick Korean (한국어), and download it with the subtitles burned in. Korean usually comes out a little shorter than English, since particles do the work of several English words.
What you get back
- Your video as an MP4 with the Korean subtitles burned into the picture, so they play everywhere without a separate file.
- A Korean SRT file you can upload wherever soft subtitles are supported.
- An SRT in the original spoken language, so you have both sides of the translation.
- Plain TXT transcripts of both, for show notes, blog posts, or search.
How Korean subtitles get made

What is different about Korean subtitles
Korean usually comes out a little shorter than English, since particles do the work of several English words.
- Hangul letters combine into square syllable blocks. The block is the unit that renders, so a font has to compose them rather than drawing letters side by side.
- Korean does use spaces, but between phrases rather than after every word, which changes where a line naturally breaks.
- Speech levels are grammatical. The same sentence has formal, polite, and casual endings, and picking the wrong one is immediately noticeable.
Formality in Korean
The polite 해요 and formal 합니다 endings both suit published video, and the translation stays polite throughout.

Can I get Korean subtitles on a video that is not in Korean?
Yes, that is the normal case. The speech is transcribed in whatever language it was spoken, and the transcript is translated into Korean. You do not have to tell it what the source language is.
Do I get a Korean subtitle file as well as the video?
Yes. Every job returns the video with subtitles burned in, plus SRT and TXT files for both the original language and Korean, so you can reuse the Korean text elsewhere.
Will Hangul characters render correctly in the video?
Yes. Subtitles are burned into the picture after the text has been shaped and laid out, so what you see in the editor is what ends up in the MP4. Hangul renders correctly in the finished file.
Can I fix the Korean wording before I download?
Yes, on the Pro and Studio plans. You can edit the text and timings in the subtitle editor, trim the clip, and reburn before downloading.
